While (at least when this was painted) I have not yet had a chance to see either the Barbie movie or Oppenheimer, I have been fascinated with months now with the social media mashup that has happened between the two! And as I was thinking about it, I thought it would be really fun to try to paint an explosion using just various shades of a single color, so... Here's the result!
